This is my page about me. My name is Mikkel Høgh. I’m 24 years old. I live in Ballerup, a suburb of Copenhagen - which is the capital of the nation of Denmark.
I am a web developer. I work for & Co.">Peytz & Co. developing websites in Drupal.
I thing Drupal is one of the best things since sliced bread. I’ve been using a lot of different CMSs over the years, starting with the homegrown hacks I made after first learning PHP in 2002. Since then I’ve used Fundanemt, Mambo and Joomla!. I’ve also experimented with almost any other CMS on the planet, trying to find the perfect one - but the ones mentioned above are the only ones I’ve put to use. And Drupal is still my number 1. I ended up switching to Drupal in spring 2006.
Drupal is also what powers this website. It is a brilliant, flexible tool, enabling me to create large and complex websites easily, while living up to W3C recommendations, beeing SEO(Search Engine Optimised) and very accessible.
I’m involved with the Danish (Mostly Copenhagen-ish) Drupal user group, DrupalDanmark. We meet once in a while and enjoy some time together, beeing generally geeky. Great fun.
I’m into Jesus
In am also a Christian. In the spring of 2002, I had an encounter with the living God. It’s a bit difficult to explain, but since then I have no more doubts about the existence of the God of the Bible, than of the colour of my eyes.
So why did I then decide to become a Christian with all the implied unpleasantries? Well, it’s quite easy to explain. I’d rather not spend eternity in hell. I don’t give those people who talk about life-enhancing faith a lot of credit. That’s not what it’s all about. In my eyes, it’s very simple. As the apostle Paul writes in Romans 10:9:
“Because if you acknowledge and confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and in your heart believe (adhere to, trust in, and rely on the truth) that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Amplified Bible)
