Navision is teh crap

I’m so unfortunate to be using Microsoft Business Solutions Navision in my daily work. It is normally rather good for a Microsoft application, but look at it’s latest trick. Yes, the sidebar has decided that it should take up the entire workspace — even more than that, since the resize handle is not available either.

I tried to call Microsoft to hear if there were perhaps any bugfix releases or something like that, but they just informed me that I’d have to call “my partner”, meaning an authorised Microsoft reseller, which will charge me 200$ just to take my call. How’s that for nice service.

I frankly don’t understand why people put up with stuff like this. This impairs my productivity. I’m not able to do the stuff I need to do, and I’ve been told the only solution is to reinstall Navision.

I appreciate that no software is bug-free and isn’t free either, but this is absurd. Crazy. I wish we used better software. I wish I didn’t have to be bothered with calling Microsoft, only to be informed that they won’t help me. Le sigh.
