As a tech supporter, I often have the “pleasure†of servicing many different computers, and today I came across with one that had the Windows Live Toolbar for Internet Explorer 6.0 installed, and I just had to share this little gem. It would seem that whoever translates such applications needs lessons in proper Danish.
Look at the text in the search field. “Søg efter internettet…â€. Besides being syntactically wrong it means something completely different in Danish than it probably should.
The article “efter†means “afterâ€, “forâ€, “following†etc. The meaning of the sentance above would be “Search for the Internetâ€, as in “I cannot find the Internet, please help me…â€
